MY SCHOOL

My school is the learning clinic. the learning clinic is a great school because it is a very active school for students. this school has a good educational program for students and encourages students to do their best on their work. this school is also a residential school so students who cant ride into school can live on campus. TLC has many things to offer to students, such as sports, farm and young apprentice. these skills are good for the students because it teaches them how to manage themselves in the workplace and shows them what its like to work for other people. another good thing about this school is the school work. this school will allow you to redo your work if it is below an 80% so you can try and get your grade up. another good thing about this school is the point system. the point system where teachers keep track of student behaviors on sheet and monitor them. the learning clinic also has a summer session program 1 for students who need to get finish any unfinished work or to get caught up with work they haven't finished. TLC also has a summer session 2 for students to have fun over the summer if they choose to stay for summer session. TLC also plans trips for students over the course of summer session.

Fun stuff

Some fun stuff currently at this school is baseball. The baseball team was created back in 2008 and was for students to learn how to work together on a team and to also have fun. I have been on the baseball team since 2013 and I have had lots of fun. Over the years, the baseball team has changed from the amount of kids playing on the team and skill. Some fun things that we've done on the baseball team has been playing night games at eastern Connecticut state university against TLC's rivals, Putnam science academy. Over the course of the three years I have been playing, we have beat Putnam science more and more and enjoyed winning. The one fun thing that was always great about baseball was the night game. Before every night game we would order subway and eat before the game, then go down to the batting cages and practice hitting before the game. We would take a team photo and start heading off to the field. It was always fun playing at eastern Connecticut field because it felt like a privilege to us to play on a college baseball field. Before the game started we would warm up throwing and catching and then sit in the dugout and wait for our names to be called for the games introduction. But the best thing about that game was, we beat Putnam science 23-11 for the first night game win in TLC baseball history; or until it started in '08. Another few fun things about this school is summer session 2. Summer session 2 is fun because kids get a whole 5 weeks of activity and get to play games, hang out all day, still do little work without having to worry about doing a lot of work and getting loads ton of work done. Last year in summer session 2, i was in the weight lifting group with JJ and Ian. In that group we would play games in the morning and go to the gym for the rest of the day. On some days when we earned it we would go to the beach or to the lake or sometimes the royal buffet in Willimantic. Another fun part about summer session is deep sea fishing with Doug. Doug takes people out every year to go on the Hel-cat and go deep sea fishing. Going to Maine is another part of summer session. The fun part about Maine is that we get to go hiking up Bore-stone mountain and we also go white water rafting and do so much more outdoor activities.
